Equipment

  • 9x13 glass baking dish

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef 85/15
  • 1 Cup real bacon bits
  • 1/2 Cup small yellow onion diced
  • 2 T tomato paste
  • 1/4 Cup water
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt I use Redmond Real Salt
  • 1/2 tsp coarse black pepper
  • 1 C shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350F.
  • Put all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix well.
  • Place mixture into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  • Spread evenly and press slightly to fill the entire dish.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160F.
  • Top with shredded cheese and place back into the oven until melted. 2-3 min.
  • Remove from oven, cut into squares and serve .
