Ingredients
- 2 lb hamburger 85%
- 1 cup white onion 1 medium onion diced
- 1 cup celery approx 4 stalks diced
- 3 garlic finely diced
- Salt Real Salt recommended
- Black Pepper coarse ground
- 1 can diced tomato
- 1 cup turnips approx 3 small turnips diced
- 1 Kettle and Fire Beef Bone Broth
- 8 cups Water to fill the pot
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 tbsp Cholula Hot Sauce - Optional
Instructions
- Brown hamburger in a large instant pot on the sauté setting.
- Add onion, celery, garlic, salt, pepper and turnips to meat and cook until onion starts to become translucent.
- Add in remaining ingredients, including enough water to fill the pot.
- Switch the instant pot setting to the soup setting for 45 minutes or until all the vegetables are tender and temperature reaches at least 165°F.
Notes
Salt and Pepper to taste.
If you don't have an instant pot, you can also make this in a large slow cooker or a large dutch oven on the stove top.
